Tonight's paint

This was a busy weekend, but got some paint time in, which is good:

This is from a thumbnail I've had laying around for at least a year. I wanted to get the values down before going color. Trying to prep myself for an environment class I'll be taking starting in a few weeks. It's some kind of large reception room; there's a procession coming in to meet someone by the windows.

Nice speed paint. If I was to give it a crit I'd say the only thing that bothers me is the scribbley line work on the ceiling drapes. They just don't match the rest of the painting in terms of level of finish. It just looks better if everything is at a same level of finish even speedpaints(if those even exist in our industry, Speedpaint=pitch art?). As shameful as it sounds, slapping a texture pattern on the drapes can help bring it to a certain finish.
