Enough hours in the day?

Apparently I am no longer able to sleep more than about 5 hours per night, even with the help of melatonin. I don't know if that's a healthy thing or not - I'd better start monitoring my blood pressure again, and it sure wouldn't hurt to start exercising. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Wii Fitness, which should help.

The positive result of not needing 8 hours of sleep every night is that I now have about 3 more hours per day to get stuff done. I can actually get quite a lot done in 3 extra hours (including throwing in a 30-minute workout every day), so maybe I'll actually start making some progress on my 300+ item to-do lists.

This year, it's back to tightening up my discipline all over the place - artistically, financially, personal care and time management-wise. Lots of things I need to do and want to do, and in a couple or three years when houses cost what they actually should cost, I want to have enough cash in the bank to put a nice down payment on one. Or to maybe quit working for someone else and actually re-start my freelance art business with enough capital to tide me over for a couple years. Or just invest wisely. Or something.

I feel pretty good, though the sleep thing is an adjustment.
